Bonnie Ross-Parker

Bonnie Ross-Parker's HDWR spotlight for Discovery and Recovery: A Shared Journey.

The book, and why we chose it

Bonnie Ross-Parker created Xperience Connections in August 2002, a program supporting professional women nationwide, and is the author of several books including Walk In My Boots: The Joy of Connecting and Y.O.U. ~ Set A High Standard for Being Human. Her most recent book, Discovery and Recovery: A Shared Journey, chronicles her 8-month challenge with breast cancer, taking the reader through the entire process from diagnosis through chemo, surgery, radiation, and recovery.

Discovery and Recovery is more than a personal account of breast cancer. It is a deeply personal look at what happens when life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and the people, relationships, faith, determination, and small moments of hope become part of the journey - including the importance of choosing who you allow to walk with you during difficult seasons of life.
