Entry, voting, tie-breakers and Shelf terms

Entry fee: $150 USD per book. Authors, publishers and authorised rights holders may submit accurate book details. Registration and voting open on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC and close at 00:00 UTC on the first day of the next month (the entire last day is included). Results are announced on the seventh of the following month after verification. Payment is handled through HDWR representatives and must be confirmed with the community admin; payment never guarantees nomination or a win. Only approved, payment-confirmed entries are published as nominees. Verified readers who have finished the book may vote once per category; entrants cannot vote for their own entry and voters must have no author, publisher, financial or personal conflict. Duplicate, automated and purchased votes are prohibited. The eligible book with the most valid votes wins its category; equal highest positive totals share the award. Categories with no valid votes have no winner. Winner publication requires admin verification and cannot precede the results date. Eligible winners receive a Community Shelf listing for three calendar months from the published start date, with month-end clamping; the end date is exclusive. Badges represent only the confirmed recognition and must not be altered to imply another result. Paid packages are separate from judging. No sales, positive-review or engagement guarantees apply.
